Vernon Davis or Dustin Keller?
I have 2 good tight ends and usually start them during the wrong times (my TEs have scored way too many points while sitting on the bench). Help me avoid this situation this week … should I start Dustin Keller (playing away against Denver) or Vernon Davis (playing home against Oakland)?
Answer: Lets look at how their matchups play out. The Broncos are allowing 4 grabs, approx 55 yards and .40 TD’s per game to TE’s this year. The Raiders are allowing nearly 5 grabs, 65 yards and .60 TD’s per game. For specific player trends Keller has 2 TD’s in his last 2 games and 21 yards, he has played well against the Broncos with 77 yards in his last game against them. Davis is averaging 70 yards over his last 2 games and has 2 TD’s in his last 2 games. To me the scales tip favorably to Davis, that’s who we would go with.
