I’m in a 10 team keeper league, and I’m faced with the unenviable task of choosing between the two top stars on my team: AP (who I drafted back in his rookie year and have been riding him ever since), or Vick (who I claimed off waivers last year as soon as he was named the starter, much to my fellow players chagrin).

Obviously there are injury concerns with both, but Vick is certainly more of a wild card, while AP isn’t exactly made of glass. My initial gut was to keep AP yet again, since he’s been with me from the beginnig. Yet everyone I ask says I should scrap AP and keep Vick (Most of the other players in our league wind up keeping RB’s as well, with maybe one or two QB’s and maybe one WR being kept). If this helps at all, we score pass TD’s as 6 instead of the standard 4.

Answer: I think I would keep AP, just because most of the other players in your league are keeping RB’s so that position is going to be much thinner, the only other consideration and it doesn’t sound like it is one in your league, is some keeper leagues make you lose the draft pick in the round the keeper was pulled from, in your case that would be very late as he was a free agent. Overall we think Vick has more risk than AP.
